I’M MARY-ANNE Grobler,
creative director and founder of Studio Mira Mira, a one-person studio in Cape Town working with founder-led brands across South Africa and Kenya.
I've spent 17 years working on and inside brands. I started in advertising agencies, then left to build my own jewellery brand, Matter of Fakt, which I ran for ten years, entirely self-funded, doing everything from the photography to the website myself. I know what founders carry, because I carried it too.
Today I help established founder-led brands build identities that last. Many of the founders I work with are creatives themselves. They know how their brand should feel. My job is to translate that into a system that carries their story into every detail, from the logo to the website, email and packaging.
I keep my client list small, so you work with me directly, from the first conversation to launch and beyond.
Outside the studio, you'll find me shooting on film, on a trail with my dog Ziggy, or exploring somewhere new.
